Another program trip and another Spanish delight of a city… Córdoba was lovely, and, to my happy surprise, one of the most historically rich places I visited. Not only did we visit the city, but we also explored the site of Medina al-Zahra, the former site of a grand palace that was the center of Moorish civilization. From the artifacts, buildings, and charms I saw in Córdoba, emanated a touch of magic that communicated the city’s past glory. Coupled with the beautiful, sunny weather that we were so excited to greet, that historic sense made for a truly memorable day.
