Budapest was an true gem that I did not expect… surprises came from every turn in the forms of stunning architecture, rich culture, unexpected culinary delights, fascinating history, and, of course, good old-fasioned and dearly missed BC comradery. With around 40 of us BC students on this trip, it was so wonderful to see some of my best friends and become closer with others, all while sharing in the farthest east in Europe that any of us had ever been. Though Budapest has become a cosmopolitan destination, we could still palpably feel the Soviet influence of old. We had so, so much fun in this city, and I will never forget the beautiful views and cultural experiences, as well as the fun, unlike anything I had experienced before.
